Forza Horizon 5 is a racing video game set in an open world environment based in a fictional representation of Mexico. The game has the largest map in the entire Forza Horizon series, being 50% larger than its predecessor, Forza Horizon 4 while also having the highest point in the Horizon series. The map was described by creative director Mike Brown as one of the most diverse Forza Horizon maps the team has built. The map contains an active caldera volcano, jungles and beaches, ancient Mayan temples, and towns and cities such as Guanajuato. Players can explore the open world freely, though they can also compete in multiplayer races and complete the campaign mode.

Both the cars featured in the game and the player character can be extensively customised. Players are able to create custom liveries and tunes for cars, and perform engine swaps, drivetrain swaps, or install body kits on certain vehicles. Forza Horizon focuses specifically on casual street racing, rather than professionally on race tracks, as it takes place on a map of temporarily closed public roads. Its got a nice balance, quite arcadey yet some nice depth with the tuning. I personally prefer this type of game to the more realistic sims. When free-roaming, the player may encounter discount signs which, when smashed, give a price reduction on all upgrades from that point forwards.

Speed traps are present in the game, and players can challenge each other for the top speed in a given area. Cameras record player times, which can then be shared among rivals. I don't care about cars so I didn't care about unlocking new ones. I don't enjoy racing games so I didn't enjoy racing in Forza. I don't understand why this particular game would change anyone's mind. I'm sure it's a great car racing game but you are still racing cars you know?

And if you have no interest as I do this game isn't gonna change your mind imo. Extremely rare unicorn cars such as the Ferrari Dino 246 were added to increase the game's community presence; developer Playground Games awards these rare cars to players for community involvement. Being the main theme of the game, a large focus of the game is on the festival itself and activities surrounding it, rather than just racing. I wouldn't be surprised if La Carrera Panamericana plays a fairly visible role. I got some of thew best cars within 30 mins of playing, put me off a bit and i got bored after 13 hours. Wish it had actual progression where you have to work to get a car.

I can just get a super wheelspin and win 2 lambos and a ferrari now, to easy. As Forza Horizon 5's release date of November 9, 2021 draws closer, we're learning more and more about what to expect. While we do that the game will take place in Mexico, we don't know all of the cars that will be available. Thankfully, the developer, Turn 10 Studios, has released the Forza Horizon 5 car list as to what we can expect. It should be noted that this list is not complete and will be updated before the release. After initial research, creative director Ralph Fulton stated that there was "one clear winner", Colorado, USA. Trips were made to the state to take footage and over 50,000 still photos for reference. The goal, stated Fulton, was to "build our own take on Colorado". Initial world design began with a 2D layout which then evolved into multiple areas created with 3D models. The developers stated that finding ways to transition between these areas was one of the greatest challenges.

Flora and fauna are also visible in the game for increased realism and depth. The Eliminator battle royale game mode introduced in Forza Horizon 4 returns, albeit with players starting in a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle rather than a 1965 Mini. The world is designed for the mode unlike the previous game, which received The Eliminator after launch. As in the previous game, players can buy in-game houses ranging from small beachside cabanas to even a hotel, which can unlock rewards such as Wheelspins and the right to Fast Travel.

Of course, Forza has plenty of traditional races and a staggering number of cars to use in them. There's really nothing quite like racing in Forza Horizon 5 either. I'm a very bad driver, but Forza lets me level up anyway, though obviously at a rate lower than if I actually won races. Earning points in traditional races is just one of many ways to rank up.

There are over 1,800 accolades for the player to achieve. The game introduces a new weather system in which players can visit one side of the map and can visibly see a storm.

Because Mexico is such a vast nation with such a wide range of elevations, multiple climates would appear in the game at around the same time. The four seasons still exist but would affect the eleven unique biomes around the map. For example, in the dry season, dust storms will appear, while tropical storms occur throughout the fall storm season. Another detail is in the jungle, in which the environment would now react to the weather; an example of this is leaves flying everywhere. Capturing the experiences of a car-meet, players can meet up anywhere to race and have the option to continue together to the next Tour location in Mexico. There are also special car variants called Forza Edition cars, which come with upgrade presets and a gameplay progression perk.

Of course, the idea that only real world cars will appear in the Forza series is already old, but their models will probably never be added to the game. In 30 min of playing you can already be driving a Lamborghini or even the fastest car in the game if you're lucky enough. Your time in Mexico kicks off with an initial race that introduces you to the basics, such as when to slow down and how to handle the three main cars. You can be smart and follow these rules, or you can be me and crash into everything because Forza fixes your very expensive cars for free.

It doesn't matter and underscores just how open and accessible Forza Horizon 5 is. Navigate to Settings, HUD and Gameplay and disable player-designed cars and drivatars. This isn't a very well known car, but it's one of my personal favorite cars out there right now and with the FXX K Evo, 599XX Evo, and others I think it makes perfect sense to have this car in the game. It's the best of both the highly successful 488 GTE Evo and 488 GT3 Evo 2020 racecars in one with no regulations to restrict it, this car is seen at a lot of Ferrari's special events where the XX cars would also be seen. Players can take one of their cars, apply upgrades and a paint job, and then drop it as a gift to another player.
